My name is Marie Horvath, and I'm a professionally qualified Career Practitioner based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
I created Career Development Space because I believe that with the right support, everyone can find work that's meaningful and fulfilling.
Drawing on both counselling and coaching, I take a tailored, whole-person approach that helps you navigate change, build confidence and move forward with clarity.

About Marie
In my practice, I take a person-centred approach, tailoring every session to your individual needs. Together, we explore your values, skills, strengths, and any obstacles standing in your way, so you can set realistic goals and move forward with confidence.
My own career has spanned a wide range of industries, from manufacturing, science and construction to sustainability, health and counselling. My passion for the helping profession was sparked in 2013 when I co-founded and ran a Youth Leadership Program for teenagers. I haven't looked back since.
Since then, I've have completed a Master of Art Therapy and a Graduate Certificate in Career Counselling, and have been working in the career space since 2019, when I began volunteering as a Job Advisor at the Asylum Seekers Centre in Sydney. I currently volunteer as a Grief Counsellor with the National Association for Grief and Loss, supporting clients in their grief and am registered with PACFA as a Clinical Counsellor.
I am also a certified Morrisby Profile Administrator and a Professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia, Career Industry Council of Australia, and the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance.
At the heart of my practice is a genuine commitment to creating a safe, supportive space, where you can grow in confidence and work towards a more positive future. With a diverse background and a creative, problem-solving mindset, I love helping clients see new possibilities and supporting them to pursue the future they truly want.
